  • Popeye's Classic Chicken Sandwich

    8.7

first tried in the middle of 2023, this sandwich is my favorite fastfood chicken sandwich. it hits all the marks of a good fried chicken sandwich. most people online seem to agree :3

my order: classic chicken sandwich combo w/ sprite and mashed potatoes w/ a side biscuit.

pros:good tenderness, great application of mayo, usually moderate sized pickles, not too much breading, and a nicely buttered bun. mashed potatoes are mid, but whatever. biscuit can sometimes be too salty.

conson occasion the pickles are too fat or the end of the pickle which is a bit too hard for my liking. so much calorie >_<|||

    KFC's Classic Chicken Sandwich

    7.9

only had this sandwich semi-recently (current date 01-31-24) and i assumed it to be good before trying it, so the expectations were high. it did not dissapoint. i've had it a few times now. i would say it's 2nd best for fast food fried chicken sandwiches. i suppose if a chicken sandwich is something you specialize in, to a degree, it should be more than decent.

my order: classic chicken sandwich combo with sprite and mashed potatoes

pros:chicken was very juicy/tender. very good portion for the price, bun was also well golden.

consok this doesnt have anything to do with the sandwich.. but their mashed potatoes are genuinely some of the worst shit i've tasted from any fast food place. like, legit cement and grains. as for a sandwich, i would say there is a bit of too much frying so there is some empty grease. deepfried nothing

Chick-fil-A's Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Chicken Sandwich

    7.8/10

it was junior year of highschool when i first tasted this sandwich. up until this point i refused to eat there because of their politics, aka my mom told me not to. until while at my friend's house that is all he wanted to eat and i did not have a car of my own(not that i would drive anywhere anyways) so, i tried their spicy chicken sandwich, no pickles(not my choice), and a side of waffle fries. at the time i thought it was bland. 2 years later i tried again, with the original chicken sandwich and for some reason it was working.

my order: original chicken sandwich w/ mayo+mustard+ranch side, medium diet coke, with a side of either waffle fries w/ chik-fil-a sauce or small mac-n-cheese if im feeling greedy

pros: typically had the right amount of crisp, portion size is consistent, bun is rarely soggy/floppy and always bounces back

cons: i am a little disturbed that they don't add lettuce!, -pts outwardly religious, their honey mustard sucks, spicy sandwich is not spicy enough

Wendy's Classic Chicken, Spicy Chicken, and Grilled Chicken Sandwiches

    4.8/10

my first time having this sandwich was actually just over 2 years ago when i just moved into my apartment and found out i could doordash to myself without my mother harrassing me. up until this point, i had usually gotten mcdonald's since thats all i was familiar with but for some reason doordash does not deliver mcd's to my area. plus, i was not eating red meat at the time. the only other sensible option besides a burger is of course, the chicken sandwich.

i would say wendy's fried chicken sandwiches are slightly above average. often being too bland, with very little crisp. and if there is crisp it is just deception, deepfried air. however it is nice that they offer lots of situation on the sandwich ie tomatoes, pickles, lettuce, mayo. as it should be!

as for the grilled chicken sandwich, i find it gross. i understand it is a healthy option than the fried chicken, so i grant it points for just doing its intended purpose. but the grilled chicken they offer is tough chewy. at least in my experience.

my order: classic chicken sandwich no tomatoes(i have a throat disease), diet coke, fries w/ ketchup

pros: consistent size/shape, not too much breading, i like wendy's mascot, generous portion for their sides

cons the lettuce is typically cut towards the bottom aka too crunchy/hard?, generally bland, lowkey kinda soggy

Veggie Grill's Santa Fe Chick'n Sandwich

    8/10

there really is not much i enjoy more than this sandwich. i already have a page about it. though i am on restriction from it, me and the sandwich were getting too serious so i got scared and asked if we could go on a break. of course, santa fe chick'n understand, because they are caring like that. ( 〃▽〃)

my order: santa fe chick'n sandwich(brioche bun) with a side of sweet potato fries! (so good)

pros: the sandwich is comprised of more complimentary ingredients like avocado, pickled onions, tomato, shredded lettuce, and chipotle mayo. even though this is not real chicken, it tastes like it imo, all while not murdering chicken! generous portion sizes for their side. major +points for being vegan and successful

cons sometimes they give too much pickled onion+chipotle mayo which can be a little slop. their mac-n-cheese is like top 20 awful things ive tried in my life

    McDonald's (not) McCrispy Chicken Sandwich

    3/10

i've had this sandwich a few times in my life and everytime it is just as depressing as the last. not much is worse than mcdonald's buns, and added onto the depression of the styrofoam bun is the NOT crispy chicken.

my order: mccrispy, fries, small sprite

pros: chicken is usually pretty juicy

consnot enough awesome crisp, like i said..bun is atrociousヾ( ・`⌓´・)ノ゙, no lettuce, mcdonald's sauces shit tier, their fries are always major hit or miss

Smashburger's Classic Smash Crispy Chicken Sandwich

    6/10

i think i have only had this sandwich once or twice and it was not insanely stand out. however, i do remember really enjoying their smash fries.

my order: CLASSIC SMASH (lol) chicken sandwich and smash fries

pros:great seasoning on the fries, the crisp was satisfactory, good onion ratio

consfrom what i remember it was like particularly flavorful in terms of seasoning on the chicken, a little messy, the fries are insanely skinny and tiny(i know some people prefer that, but i was put off, a bit)

    Raising Cane's The Sandwich

    7/10

only once have i tried this and it was ruined by LPR (laryngopharyngeal reflux, so i assume that this sandwich is insanely oily or something. i do like raising cane's chicken, i find that it is often very succulent. however, i do not like that they have not moved on from the chicken fingers for the sandwich. i think it would be nice if they had an actual full chicken breast. it is a little difficult to eat since it is so massive lolz

my order: the sandwich combo with sprite, big fan of their bun+roll

pros:their chicken is very stand-out for quality, cane's sauce is famous for a reason, the bun surprisingly is not soggy at all

conschicken fingers, their fries make me feel sick(they are so boring and fat), no pickle??? ┌∩┐(◣_◢)┌∩┐
